|

Due to the continued development of automation technology, more and
more traditional industrial automation companies want to
collect/transfer industrial sensor data to/from HMI or SCADA
software with the goal to realize an asset management system.

Problem
|
|
A client came to SST Automation looking for a solution to connect
their HART instruments to the HMI or SCADA system in the control
room. The customer wanted to collect data such as temperature and
pressure from several HART instruments and send it to their WinCC or
Ignition in the control room.

Solution
|
|
SST Automation’s GT200-HT-MT offers a HART to Modbus TCP gateway,
which allowed communication between HART and Modbus TCP to be
possible. SST Automation offers a HART to Modbus TCP gateway, the GT200-HT-MT, to
successfully finish the conversion between HART and Modbus TCP.

|
Additionally, like WinCC or Ignition, Kepware can also offer the
capabilities of Modbus TCP data collection. By using these two
products together, the client was able to successfully collect and
manage the data.
